Cam Adjustment May Be Necessary
Rapid cam tooth wear can be caused by cores that do not firmly lock onto the coreholder.
This cam has a retractable ball plunger which protrudes from the face of the cam. The ball plunger helps rotate the cam until the teeth firmly grip the inside wall of the core and lock it in place.
The ball plunger has been set for a typical 3” i.d. core. However, it may be necessary to further adjust the ball plunger to fit cores of varying i.d. tolerances.
To adjust, simply insert a 1/8” wide flat blade screwdriver through the back side of the cam (as shown in the picture), into the slot found on the back of the ball plunger and turn clockwise or counter clockwise, as needed, until good locking and releasing operation is attained.

You do not need a tool to replace a strobe flash tube. You will want to use a shop towel and cover the tube, then wiggle it a bit while pulling it out. Use the same towel to cover the new bulb. You will want to line up the notch of the bulb with the socket, then push it into place. To remove and replace the cover you will only need a phillips screwdriver.
